Department Statement

The Department of Nursing at NNU offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Nursing students are required to have a strong background in the arts and sciences before being admitted into the Nursing program. The nursing program consists of six semesters of nursing.

Description of Position

The Department of Nursing is seeking to fill the full-time nursing faculty position to begin Fall of 2016. The area of focus is: Medical Surgical Nursing. Coordination of simulated learning experiences across the program is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral preparation preferred, master’s level will be considered. All levels of rank will be considered. Strong candidates will possess proven abilities in the classroom at the baccalaureate level. Candidates need to be proficient in the clinical skills required for practice in these areas. Candidates are to have a high level of integrity, and personal responsibility must be verified. Candidates must demonstrate both written and verbal skills, effective interpersonal relationship skills, and evidence of leadership in the profession. The university requires that all candidates have a Christian perspective (preferably in the Wesleyan tradition), and must be comfortable with and in agreement with the mission and lifestyle values of NNU. Compensation

The salary will be determined by the educational background and experience of each applicant.
