Northwest Nazarene University (NNU), a comprehensive Christian university, offers over 60 areas of study, 19 master’s degrees in seven different disciplines and one doctoral degree. The Department of Nursing at NNU offers a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nursing an RN to BS in Nursing completion program and a Master of Science in Nursing with a nursing education track. The Bachelor of Science program and the Masters of Science program are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Description of Position
The Department of Nursing is seeking to fill a full-time nursing faculty position to begin Fall of 2016. The area of focus is: Senior Medical-Surgical Nursing. Classroom and clinical teaching is required. Doctoral prepared faculty may also teach in the graduate program.
Master prepared degree is required. Strong candidates will possess proven abilities in the classroom. Candidates are to have a high level of integrity, and personal responsibility must be verified. Candidates must demonstrate both written and verbal skills, effective interpersonal relationship skills, and evidence of leadership in the profession. The university requires that all candidates have a Christian perspective (preferably in the Wesleyan tradition), and must be comfortable with and in agreement with the mission and lifestyle values of NNU. The salary will be determined by the educational background and experience of each applicant.
