Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) athletic programs compete at the NCAA Division II level. NNU is a member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) which is comprised of the following eleven members: University of Alaska-Anchorage, University of Alaska-Fairbanks, Central Washington University, Concordia University, Montana State University-Billings, Northwest Nazarene University, Saint Martin's University, Seattle Pacific University, Simon Fraser University, Western Oregon University, and Western Washington University. NNU offers the following eight sports for women: basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, track & field (indoor and outdoor) and volleyball. NNU offers the following seven sports for men: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer and track & field (indoor and outdoor).
Description of Position
The Director of Facilities and Events will be responsible for duties including, but not limited to, event and game set up and tear down; event and game management of coaches, officials, student workers, event staff, media, and guests; hiring, supervising and training all student workers and event staff; coordinating, scheduling, and supervising all athletics facilities for practices, athletic contests, internal University use, and external rental use; completing contracts for all rentals (in coordination with Athletic Director); overseeing that all NNU Athletics facilities are in good working order through routine walk-throughs and identification of needed repairs and improvements; overseeing completion of all facility work orders, repairs, and maintenance; acting as liaison between NNU Athletics staff and coaches and NNU Facilities (Sodexo); and maintaining a “master calendar” for the use of all NNU Athletics facilities. This individual will partner with various University offices to enhance and promote the attendance of students, faculty and staff, alumni, and the community at athletic events. The Director of Facilities and Events will coordinate closely with other Athletic Department personnel to facilitate game promotions and provide support for various events such as the annual golf tournament, student-athlete awards banquet, and Hall of Fame ceremony. This individual is expected to promote and develop spiritual formation and leadership, academic excellence, athletic competitiveness, and community engagement. The Director of Facilities and Events works some nights and weekends and reports to the Director of Athletics.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Operations and/or event management experience
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Experience in development and marketing
Hourly wage will be $15.00 per hour.
