Department Statement

The Department of Nursing at NNU offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an RN to BSN completion program, a Master of Science in Nursing--Nursing Education & Leadership and a Master of Science in Nursing--Family Nurse Practitioner. The Bachelor of Science programs and the Masters of Science programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

Description of Position

The Department of Nursing is seeking to fill a full-time nursing faculty position to begin fall of 2019. The area of focus is in the BSN Program with opportunities to teach online in our other programs.  The current opening is in the Junior or Senior student level, depending on applicants nursing background. Classroom and clinical teaching is required. Doctoral prepared faculty may also teach in the graduate program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master prepared degree is required, Doctoral preferred.
  • Strong candidates will have demonstrated abilities to be successful in the academic clinical setting.
  • Candidates are to have a high level of integrity, and personal responsibility must be verified.
  • Candidates must demonstrate both written and verbal skills, effective interpersonal relationship skills, and evidence of leadership in the profession.
  • The university requires that all candidates have a Christian perspective (preferably in the Wesleyan tradition), and must be comfortable with and in agreement with the mission and lifestyle values of NNU.

Compensation

The salary will be determined by the educational background and experience of each applicant.
